Historically, wheel spats were used on vehicles like 1930s luxury cars and mid-century race cars to streamline airflow around the rear wheels, minimizing turbulence and increasing fuel efficiency.
With Shield, we’ve adapted this proven concept for today’s electric vehicles, where every efficiency gain translates to greater range and better performance. Specifically designed for the Tesla Model Y, Shield fits seamlessly over the rear wheel arches, reducing drag and improving range by up to 10%.
Unlike the fixed and cumbersome fender skirts of the past, Shield offers a sleek, easy-to-install, and removable solution tailored for the modern driver, combining historical innovation with cutting-edge technology. Shield's mounting system and design styling are found in its patent.

Compatibility
While Shield currently focuses on the Model Y, we are actively working on expanding compatibility to other Tesla models and electric vehicles, bringing its efficiency and range-boosting benefits to a broader audience in the near future. At the start of production, customers will have the option to select Shield with or without the Ganaio logo and can choose from multiple carbon fiber colors to match their vehicle's aesthetics.
